Movie Story
“Pixie” is a crime comedy-thriller set in the rugged landscapes of Ireland, following the adventures of Pixie O’Brien (Olivia Cooke), a clever and resourceful young woman who is determined to avenge her mother’s death. Pixie concocts a daring plan to orchestrate a heist that will allow her to escape her small-town life and start anew.
Her plan quickly spirals out of control when she unwittingly drags two hapless young men, Frank McCullen (Ben Hardy) and Harland McKenna (Daryl McCormack), into her scheme. The trio finds themselves on the run from a group of gangsters, including a group of dangerous priests led by the menacing Father Hector McGrath (Alec Baldwin), who are determined to reclaim the drugs that Pixie and her accomplices have stolen.
As they navigate through a series of misadventures, betrayals, and shootouts, Pixie’s quick wit and charm become her greatest assets in outsmarting her pursuers. The film combines elements of dark comedy with action-packed sequences, blending the thrill of a crime caper with sharp dialogue and eccentric characters.
“Pixie” explores themes of loyalty, revenge, and the pursuit of freedom, all while maintaining a playful and irreverent tone. The film’s quirky humor and stylish direction make it a modern twist on the classic crime genre, with a distinctly Irish flavor.
