Movie Story
“Hypnotic” centers on Jenn Tompson (Kate Siegel), a young woman struggling to rebuild her life after a series of personal setbacks. Jenn, feeling lost and unable to move forward, is introduced to Dr. Collin Meade (Jason O’Mara), a renowned hypnotherapist who promises to help her regain control of her life. Desperate for a solution, Jenn agrees to undergo hypnotherapy sessions with Dr. Meade, hoping to alleviate her anxiety and trauma.

However, as Jenn delves deeper into the sessions, she begins to experience strange and terrifying side effects. Her sense of reality becomes increasingly distorted, and she starts to question her own sanity. As Jenn investigates, she uncovers a sinister plot involving Dr. Meade, who has been using hypnosis to manipulate and control his patients for his own dark purposes. With the help of Detective Wade Rollins (Dulé Hill), Jenn races against time to unravel the mystery and break free from Dr. Meade’s grasp before she loses herself completely.

The film explores themes of trust, control, and the dangers of psychological manipulation. “Hypnotic” keeps the audience on edge as Jenn navigates a web of deceit and mind games, unsure of what is real and what has been planted in her mind. The tension builds as Jenn’s world unravels, leading to a shocking climax that forces her to confront the darkest corners of her psyche.

The special effects in “Hypnotic” are used effectively to create a sense of disorientation and unease. The film uses these effects sparingly, enhancing the psychological horror without overshadowing the narrative.
