Movie Story
Dangerous is a gritty action thriller centered on Dylan “D” Forrester (Scott Eastwood), a reformed sociopath who is trying to live a quiet life on parole. Despite his efforts to control his violent tendencies, Dylan is constantly monitored by his unconventional psychiatrist, Dr. Alderwood (Mel Gibson), who provides him with medication and guidance to help manage his impulses.
Dylan’s life takes a sudden turn when he learns that his brother has died under mysterious circumstances on a remote island. Determined to uncover the truth, Dylan violates his parole and sets off for the island, only to find himself in the middle of a dangerous situation involving a group of mercenaries led by the ruthless Cole (Kevin Durand). As Dylan confronts his past and his inner demons, he must rely on his unique skills and violent tendencies to survive and protect those he cares about.
Along the way, Dylan encounters FBI Agent Shaughnessy (Famke Janssen) and Sheriff McCoy (Tyrese Gibson), both of whom are hot on his trail but unaware of the full extent of the threat he faces. As the stakes rise and the body count increases, Dylan is forced to confront the darkness within himself to stop Cole and his men.
Dangerous explores themes of redemption, identity, and the struggle between one’s nature and the desire to change. The film is packed with intense action sequences, including gunfights, hand-to-hand combat, and high-stakes standoffs, making it a tense and suspenseful ride.
